About Us

EFISA is a forestry plantation and wood processing service company headquartered in Asunción, Paraguay. It focuses 100% on sustainable forestry plantations and does not engage in extractive forestry. To maximize the value that can be obtained from client plantations, EFISA also produces wood chips for energy, sawn timber, and pallets at its industrial facility near Asunción.

Founded in 2012, it is 75% owned by Forest International Holdings LTD, a holding management company primarily owned by Stephan Winkler, and 25% by Romano Diel, the founder and director of the company. Forest International LTD is involved in the global agribusiness sector through its holdings in OMEX International LTD (www.omex.com) and Nordsaat (www.nordsaat.de).

EFISA directly employs 314 full-time employees under permanent work contracts, with this number increasing significantly during peak periods. The company currently has an internal planting capacity of up to 10,000 hectares per year and has agreements with renowned third-party planting service providers.

Over the past 28 years, we have worked towards the expansion and development of our bioeconomy business, providing solutions across different sectors that align with environmental preservation responsibilities. We facilitate access to raw materials that comply with international environmental preservation agreements, helping industries and organizations meet sustainability standards while contributing to economic growth with environmental responsibility.

EFISA's greatest differentiator is its strong and impactful presence throughout the entire production chain of reforested wood products. We control the production process from the forest to the industry that processes it. This ensures the quality of what we deliver to our customers, as well as guarantees the responsible sourcing of raw materials, which is also a commitment shared with our partners.
